To all the fine patrons of MVP Aviation:
Dear friends,
It is with a heavy heart I share, that after a long conversation with aircraft rental and flight instruction providers at Augusta Regional Airport and several exchanges with my insurance provider, I have found it necessary to step down from primary flight instruction (i.e. serving as pilot-in-command in rented aircraft).
Unfortunately, insurance costs have made it economically impractical for me to instruct part-time. A further concern is that as I close the doors on MVP Aviation I’ll be giving up the legal safeguard offered by a Limited Liability Company.
Most of you know that we bought farm land for our retirement and I simply cannot jeopardize that investment. I am put in the awkward position of having to back out of primary flight instruction entirely.
It has been a great joy getting to know each of you and I encourage you to persevere in becoming rated pilots – pursuing your dream of flight.
